Brainchild of Mr. Dhirendra Kumar, current Managing Director (IFS 1983) Nodal Officer at Directorate of Handloom, Sericulture & Handicraft Started with Sericulture & took Charge of 28 defunct Pilot Project Centers with trained manpower With current PPC structure only 1500 farmers could be supported out of 65000 Decided to eliminate PPC & delegate the work to farmers itself raising the production rates exponentially Requested Central Silk Board. Proposal rejected (Calling it Over-Ambitious)

GROWTH
Initial installed base: 90MT on paper and 28-30 MT on ground, Last year s sales figures of 725MT Jharkhand 11th 5 year plan estimate: 900MT/person/year yet not achieved Sericulture -> Horticulture & handicraft & Organized farming -> Organized retail

No Conventional Media: Online, Emporium, Trade Fairs & Bulk Supple Boutiques. Chinese Oak Tussar at Rs. 1500 /Kg. Their Tropical Tussar at Rs. 2200. So, they took organic Certification: One Cert USA After 3 years of Struggle, they are profitable now with 24 emporiums across the country & still growing steady.

All the farmers have come out of Poverty Line. Most of the operation being in NAXAL Infested area. All the money the farmers are earning is going to the education of their children. Store employees are out of the 35 clusters of 1500-2000 weavers each. (Exception: Managers & Accountants)
