UGNAYAN 2011 INDAK PINOY a Dance Showcase


This aims to develop students cooperation and unity as they are bonded by their passion in dancing. This opts to bring out cultural awareness and patriotism among the students as well as being charismatic as they share Gods given talent. MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES
Each family shall come up with a festive dance mixed up with a

pop dance portraying or representing their designated Festival. Each family shall have a dance group consisting of Sixteen to Twenty (16-20) performers only. (Exclusive of the musicians). The group must consist of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th year students. It should be Four (4) per year level; it is the prerogative of the group on what level they will get the remaining four (4) members. The list of the participants shall be passed on July 21, 2011 (Thursday) to the KNK chairman, Ms. Monajenalyn Macarubbo BSN 4 student. Each family will make 1 to 2 minute introduction or a brief description about the Feast (festival) that they are representing while the performers are getting ready with their performance. The music that will be used must be a festive song that is commonly used during the said festival of an specific place. Its up to the decision of the family and the performers if the music will be played live or not (audio system). The dance shall be performed for 3-6 minutes only. The family shall submit a copy of their music or if its a live music, the list of the songs used in the music shall be checked by the Chairman of the Koryo ng Kabataan Ms. Monajenalyn Macarubbo, BSN 4 student and to the PSG-SHS officers together with the PSG-SHS advisers, 1 week before the Ugnayan. Costumes should be appropriate with the Feast (festival) you are representing. VULGAR costumes as well as steps are strictly not allowed. Recyclable materials may also be used for the costumes. Props may be used but dangerous props such as pyrotechnics, fire, and etc., are strictly prohibited.
