THIS IS THE HEADER--------------------------

Evan Boerman

Kyle Busch
Kyle drove for Hendrick Motorsports from the few races he ran in 2004 to the last race at Homestead-Miami in 2007. He scored 4 wins in those years. Then, he went to Joe Gibbs Racing at the beginning of the 2008 season. His career took off. The team thought that 2008 was an experimental year; just to get a feel for the team and the team to understand what Kyle meant when he says, The car s a little loose in (turn) 3. How loose is a little loose? They took the 2008 season by storm. They scored 8 wins (most of any driver) that year. He went into the Chase as the points leader, but, when performance mattered most, they fell apart. They finished last in the Chase (10th). He started to gain a reputation for being the Bad Boy of NASCAR. In 2009, Kyle won 4 races (Las Vegas, Bristol1, Richmond, and Bristol2). Kyle missed the Chase that year. In 2010, Kyle tallied 3 wins (Richmond, Dover, and Bristol2). He would go on to make the Chase and finish 8th in points. He accomplished a feat no other driver in the history of NASCAR has ever done. He swept the Truck race, the Nationwide race, and the Cup race at Bristol2. He won all three races. No driver has ever been able to do that. In 2011, Kyle scored 4 wins (Bristol1, Richmond, Kentucky, and Michigan2). He swept the weekend at Bristol again. Only, this time the Trucks didn t race. He raced the Nationwide and Cup races and won them both. He would Finish 12th in the Chase after being suspended a race weekend at Texas late in the season because of an on track incident with Ron Hornaday in the Truck race. He was parked for the Nationwide and the Cup race that weekend. All the progress he made on his status of being NASCAR s Bad Boy was just erased. He might not overcome that mistake.
