As currently Engro is facing certain problems in its fleet movement from Karachi to Sukkur which are going vacant and it is desired that these containers should be loaded with some products to optimize logistic cost to maximum possible extent. For this we analyze different parameters and certain aspects by means of which can come up with a defined feasible strategy. Some of the logistics KPIs in a standard logistics and supply chain network are as follows: Loading and Unloading Time : Time motion study Round trip duration Cost per litre Cost per trip Inventory and warehousing cost Number of containers Shelf space Container capacity In order to optimize these and a number of other KPIs we will first conduct meetings with the relevant personnel to grasp the current functionality and ongoing mechanism. Also we would have planned visits at specific locations for better understanding of procedures and developing viable stratagems for the underlying problems and issues.
