    They explore concepts, ideas, and issues that have local and global significance. In so doing, they acquire in-depth knowledge and develop understanding across a broad and balanced range of disciplines.

    Area 1; Learners who are knowledgeable explore concepts, ideas and issues that have local and global significance. Discuss some ideas and issues which are significant on different levelssignificant to you and your immediate environment; significant to your nation; significant globally. Try to find 3 issues on each level and label them on the diagram. You and your locality Nation and region

    Area 2; Combine your issues from Area 1 with one or more classmates. Compare the issues you recorded on your diagram. Seek some similarities and try to make some groups of your issues. Give your groups a title or summary.
