Threats and problems:It is amazing that this immense bio-diversity share its life with more than 1 billion

people. This life and its protected areas need to be protected as these forests are the source of scarce water and also act as barrier against climatic changes. (a) Loss of habitat:This is the main threat to natural world as protected habitat is the crucial factor in the survival of wildlife. A protected and unspoilt habitat provides all conditions necessary for the survival of animals. So first priority should be to protect remaining wild habitats. (b) Poaching:Humans kill different animal due to different reasons. Tigers leopards, snowleopards are killed for its skin, bones, claws. Bears are killed for its gall bladder, musk deer for its musk gland, rhinos for its horn, elephant for its tusk goats and sheeps like Ibex for its meat. The list of reasons and greed is as long as the list of animals. There exist a collection of wildlife laws but the problem lies in implementation. Strict implementation of these laws should be there so that this curse on wildlife can be reduced atleast if not removed. (c) Disposal of man-animal conflictsIn large parts of India, particularly in the periphery of protected areas animal like tigers and leopards, kill cattle/livestock of villagers or elephants destroyed the fields. There must exist a system for the shift disposal of these cases so that these villagers did not act revengefully killing wildlife in turn. (d) Protection of preserved areas: There is a dire need of a central cadre of lower staff, may be at the level of Range officer who are properly trained and recruited by some central agency so that a dedicated team of youth can be created
