ReadyShare Access
Once you have set up your router or gateway, you can connect most common USB storage devices1 and share the contents with users (both wired and wireless) on your network.

You can access your USB device using any number of methods: On Windows systems, select Start > Run and enter \\readyshare in the dialog box. Click OK. Open Explorer or Safari and enter \\readyshare in the Address Bar. Open My Network Places and enter \\readyshare in the Address Bar.

Select the folder called USB_Storage.

For your convenience, we included a ReadyShare Map Drive utility called ReadyShareConnect that will automatically map your USB drive on Windows systems. 1. 2. Insert your Resource CD, and click ReadyShareConnect.exe. The Windows Map Network Drive dialog box opens and displays the Folder name: \\readyshare\USB_Storage. By default the Z: drive is selected. If the Z: drive is in use, select another drive letter from the pull-down menu and click Finish.

For example, if you selected z: as your USB drive location, it will display as USB_Storage on readyshare (z). Note: If your USB device requires a power supply, you must use it when connecting your USB device to a NETGEAR router or gateway. It may take up to 2 minutes before the USB drive is ready for sharing after it is connected to the router.
1. If your USB device requires special drivers, it will not be compatible.
