of lying, because it can change someone's entire life. Dismissal at a young age can root serious mental problems. If someone were to oppose the group's idea of what the truth is, though it is a lie. The single person would be shunned by the group and disregarded as an opinion towards the group. As a way of lying, deflecting distracts away from the real problem and truth. A few differences between out-and-out lies and a white lie is that you cannot confront a white lie but you can confront someone who tells a bold face lie. Out-and-out lies are very obvious where a white lie is completely unnoticed. Nam: Lying is necessary because sometimes what the other person doesn't know doesn't hurt them. Lauren: Yes, because there are little things you can lie about that wouldn't affect someone's life. Leah: Lying is necessary because it's how we've been raised Kevin: Yes, necessary depending on the situation. Jillian: I believe the only lies necessary are out-and-out lies. The lies that are obviously not true. Otherwise, be honest always especially with yourself.
