Water Conservation Order Lifted Update #2

The Water Conservation Order issued by the Cayuga County Health Department is no longer in effect. The Water Conservation Order was for City of Auburn residents and those residents downstream of Auburn who use water supplied by the Citys filtration plant. The water storage tanks have increased their levels of water storage to acceptable levels. The Conservation Order had been issued when there was a disruption in water service caused by a malfunction of a pump that supplies water to the Citys water filtration plant on Friday 2-24-12. The City of Auburn was able to successfully complete the repair to the pump. County residents that were affected by the Water Conservation Order included residents within the City of Auburn and those residents on public water within the Town of Sennett, Throop, Aurelius, Brutus, Mentz, Montezuma, Fleming-Springport Water District, East Brutus Water District, and the Villages of Port Byron and Weedsport. This update will be posted on the Cayuga County Health Department website, http://www.cayugacounty.us/hhs/doh . For further information, please call: Anthony DeCaro, City of Auburn, (315) 253-8754, or Eileen OConnor, Cayuga County Health Department, (315) 253-1405.
