EXPERIMENT CHOSEN FROM THE JOURNAL :

Presence or absence of fathers love and personality development of the child.

(VIEW OF THE EXPERIMENT)

The objective of the study was to examine how presence or absence of fathers love affects the personality development of the male and female child in the city of Hyderabad. The study further aimed at investigating the relationship between parental warmth and personality organization of children of single parent and both parent families. The Urdu version of child PARQ & Child PAQ were administered on a sample of 128 male & female students belonging to middle class families. The t-test indicated no significant mean difference were found on the self evaluation scales as well as on total PAQ scales with boys of both parent & single parent groups. High positive correlations coefficients were found between the total PARQ scores & total PAQ scores of both parents and single parent families.
EXPLANTION OR FOCUS OF EXPERIMENT:
The main focus of the present study was to make comparisons of the two groups of children having or not having fathers in their lives, in order to observe if there is any difference in the personality dispositions of these two groups of respondents. The study further aimed at investigating the relationship between parental warmth and personality organization of the two groups of children. It was expected that there would be significant mean difference on Child PAQ scores of both parent and single parent group.
