God has a priority and that priority was established before the foundation of this world. He has had a purpose for many years. This purpose is in the heart of him to accomplish. Ephesians describes this purpose. Ephesians 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him:
A Mystery Which Was Kept In Secret

Heaven did not know, Lucifer did not know, no one knew but God. A mystery. It is being made known unto us that in the dispensation of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ. This is Gods priority. This is Gods objective for thousands of years it has been his objective. When the plan of salvation was revealed to the angels, joy, inexpressible joy, filled heaven. The glory and the blessedness of a world redeemed out measured even the anguish of the Prince of Life. Through the celestial courts echoed the first strain of that song that angels sang above the hills of Bethlehem,--Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will to men. And the lost pair in the garden of Eden, standing as criminals before the righteous Judge, waiting the sentence their transgression merited, heard the first notes of the divine promise. upon them was depicted before them, before the decree that the wages of sin is death was pronounced, they heard the promise of redemption. Though they must suffer from the power of their mighty foe, still through the merits of Christ they could look forward to victory. The mystery of the gospel was spoken in Eden, when God said to the serpent, I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. If Satan could have touched the head with his specious temptations, the human family would have been lost; but the Lord had made known the purpose and plan of the mystery of grace, declaring that Christ had bruised the serpent under his feet. {ST, February 13, 1893 par. 10} The incarnation of Christ is a mystery. The union of divinity with humanity is a mystery indeed, hidden with God, even the mystery which hath been hid from ages. It was kept in eternal silence by Jehovah, and was first revealed in Eden, by the prophecy that the Seed of the woman should bruise the serpent's head, and that he should bruise His heel. {6BC 1082.4} To present to the world this mystery that God kept in silence for eternal ages before the world was created, before man was created, was the part that Christ was to act in the work He entered upon when He came to this earth. And this wonderful mystery, the incarnation of Christ and the atonement that He made, must be declared to every son and daughter of Adam. . . . His sufferings perfectly fulfilled the claims of the law of God (ST Jan. 30, 1912). {6BC 1082.5} God has a mystery which is to be declared to every son and daughter of Adam whether they are a Jew or a gentile. Ephesians 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: According to this scripture there is a period of time given, a dispensation where this mystery was to work where heaven was to be united to earth in Jesus Christ. There is to come a time when the mystery will be finished. Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. The spirit of prophecy or the testimony of Jesus is telling us that when the seventh angel begins to sound, the mystery should be finished. Something that God has been working on before this earth was created. Gods priority, his will and his absolute purpose. For nearly 6000 years this mystery has been open to humanity. If you study the seven trumpets, each trumpet is a period of time when wars took place. We can identify well and truly that we are living at the end of the trumpets. For hundreds of years we have been living in the closing time of the trumpets. When the seventh trumpet begins to sound the mystery should be completed. Ephesians 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
1:10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him: There is a dispensation of times plural, that God is going to operate on the sons of men and cause a unity of faith to be established on this earth. Oh that men will now love God and will also love each other. That is Gods purpose. There is a dispensation of times. The prophet John was the connecting link between the two dispensations. As God's representative he stood forth to show the relation of the law and the prophets to the Christian dispensation. {DA 220.2} There was the Jewish dispensation and the Christian dispensation or the dispensation of the gentiles. We can see here when one finished and one started. And He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week. The week here brought to view is the last one of the seventy; it is the last seven years of the period allotted especially to the Jews. During this time, extending from A.D. 27 to A.D. 34, Christ, at first in person and afterward by His disciples, extended the gospel invitation especially to the Jews. As the apostles went forth with the good tidings of the kingdom, the Saviour's direction was: Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Matthew 10:5, 6. {GC 327.2} The seventy weeks, or 490 years, especially allotted to the Jews, ended, as we have seen, in A.D. 34. At that time, through the action of the Jewish Sanhedrin, the nation sealed its rejection of the gospel by the martyrdom of Stephen and the persecution of the followers of Christ. Then the message of salvation, no longer restricted to the chosen people, was given to the world. The disciples, forced by persecution to flee from Jerusalem, went everywhere preaching the word. Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. Peter, divinely guided, opened the gospel to the centurion of Caesarea, the God-fearing Cornelius; and the ardent Paul, won to the faith of Christ, was commissioned to carry the glad tidings far hence unto the Gentiles. Acts 8:4, 5; 22:21. {GC 328.1} God had given a time allotted for the Jews. Christ in the last seven years said don't go to the gentiles, go to the Jews. There was seven years left for the Jewish nation. Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law. The fullness of time had come for the Jewish people and at that time Christ was to come to them in person. They had the light of Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the prophets and now in the fullness of time Christ came personally. The last seven years that the Jewish people had, Christ speaks of it in his ministry;
John 4:21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. The question was - which church is Gods church? Is it there in Samaria or is it there in Jerusalem? This was always the question in Christs time, who is Gods people? Its the same question today, where is Gods church? This is what the woman asked, where is salvation? Jesus said that it was of the Jews as it was the Jewish dispensation. A number of years before this time was cut off Jesus said the following; Matthew 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. Jesus is speaking of prophecy and it was marvellous in our eyes. Was it marvellous in the eyes of the Jewish leaders? They couldn't even see. Pilate asked Jesus if he was king of the Jews. John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. But NOW is my kingdom not from hence. Jesus continually through his ministry showed the time in which they were living. It is time now that there is a new dispensation, a new period of time. Jesus here prophesied of the new dispensation that was going to be opened up. Matthew 8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Jesus says plainly that there are going to be a different people that will sit down with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. There is going to be a unification of humanity and divinity. Whether you are a Jew or a gentile, there will be unity. Those who profess and claim without fruit are the children of the kingdom that shall be cast out. Jesus did not hide the fact that the time was ending.
Matthew 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Don't think within yourself we are Abrahams children, that we have such a line up, that we have certain fathers, pioneers and prophets and all these things. Don't think that. Unless there is fruit on your tree you will be cut down and thrown in the fire. It doesn't matter who your parents were, what missionary effort you do, which church you belong to or how good your minister is. If there is no fruit you will be cast out and burnt down.
The Fullness of Time

When the fullness of time was come, God sent Jesus into the world. It is interesting to note that from the birth of Isaac the promised seed to 34AD is approximately 1974 years depending on which chronology you follow. 1974 years from which the promised nation was born to the stoning of Stephen. From 34AD the time has become the gentiles time, the Christian time. It is interesting to note from 34AD to 2008 is 1974 years. We have had now the same time that the Jewish people had the fullness of time. The bible speaks of a branch being cut off. A natural branch was cut off and a new wild branch was grafted into the tree. We should never boast and proclaim and have a big profession that we are Gods people. Let your works show that you are Gods people. Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. The gentiles have a time and until the fullness of that time, the Jews are blind in part. After that time, everyone will see clearly. Here Jesus is speaking of the last days. He limits the gentiles to a time; Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. The gentiles have a time. A period of time and when that is fulfilled, God will judge all nations. Ephesians 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
1:10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him: It makes me tremble to know that we had the same amount of time as the Jewish nation. What have we done to Jesus? Moses had a vision and in the vision he saw two things. He saw this stepping stone (Christ) despised. As Moses saw this steppingstone despised, and beheld the Jews, blinded by Satan, turning away from their only hope of salvation, and crying, Away with Christ! and as he heard the Christian world in the new dispensation crying, Away with the Father! Away with the law! he was filled with astonishment. Do men honor God by despising His law? {10MR 156.3} Moses saw the culmination of the two dispensations. The Jews rejected Christ and Christians reject the law of the Father. As the first dispensation was finishing, in the fullness of that time, God sent his Son into the world. This one that came into the world was the light of heaven. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 1:9 [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. This light came at the fullness of the Jewish dispensation and it was not recognised. Revelation 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. The light of Revelation 18 comes as the Christian dispensation is closing and it also is not recognised. Probation is closing, are you ready? The closing of the
dispensation is mirrored in the closing of the Christian dispensation. You think of the Jews and the gentiles. Who was more blessed? Who had greater light? The Jews were required to bring to God numerous offerings besides the tithe; and shall not we, who enjoy the blessings of the gospel, do as much to sustain God's cause as was done in the former, less-favored dispensation? {RH, February 9, 1886 par. 18} The liberality of the Jews in their offerings for religious purposes might well be imitated by Christians. If tithes and offerings were required thousands of years ago, they are much more essential now. The labors of God's servants were then confined almost wholly to the land of Palestine; but the apostles and their successors were commissioned to preach the gospel throughout the world. The people of this dispensation are favored with greater light and blessing than were the Jews. {ST, January 10, 1884 par. 19 You may marvel that the Jews killed Christ and you may marvel that the Jews were allowed to see and talk to Christ and have the prophets such as Moses and Elijah. We have greater light and therefore greater damnation if rejected. Speaking of the destruction of Jerusalem, they had great light, they had the prophets and they did not know that it was the fullness of time. They did not know the time of their visitation. Do we know the time of our visitation? Terrible were the calamities that fell upon Jerusalem when the siege was resumed by Titus. The city was invested at the time of the Passover, when millions of Jews were assembled within its walls. Their stores of provision, which if carefully preserved would have supplied the inhabitants for years, had previously been destroyed through the jealousy and revenge of the contending factions, and now all the horrors of starvation were experienced. {GC 31.2} These were Gods people only a number of years beforehand as a nation. A measure of wheat was sold for a talent. So fierce were the pangs of hunger that men would gnaw the leather of their belts and sandals and the covering of their shields. Great numbers of the people would steal out at night to gather wild plants growing outside the city walls, though many were seized and put to death with cruel torture, and often those who returned in safety were robbed of what they had gleaned at so great peril. The most inhuman tortures were inflicted by those in power, to force from the want-stricken people the last scanty supplies which they might have concealed. And these cruelties were not infrequently practiced by men who were themselves well fed, and who were merely desirous of laying up a store of provision for the future. {GC 31.2}
The Leaders
Who was practising these tortures? People inside the wall that wanted more food for later, the leaders. They went to the people and they tortured them. The most inhumane tortures were by those in power. Thousands perished from famine and pestilence. Natural affection seemed to have been destroyed. Husbands robbed their wives, and wives their husbands. GC 32 Would you do that? Would you rob from your wife the last bit of food? Children would be seen snatching the food from the mouths of their aged parents. The question of the prophet, Can a woman forget her sucking child? received the answer within the walls of that doomed city: The hands of the pitiful women have sodden their own children: they were their meat in the destruction of the daughter of my people. Isaiah 49:15; Lamentations 4:10. Again was fulfilled the warning prophecy given fourteen centuries before: The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, . . . and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straightness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates. Deuteronomy 28:56, 57. {GC 32.1} Would you eat your child? Would you kill your child? Is humanity better? Have we become better people? Has the human nature progressed in holiness? Revelation 18 says Babylon the great has fallen and has become the habitation of devils. It has been a growing demise of humanity. The natural demise of humanity has decreased. Morality has gone. We are reading things that were done approximately 1974 years ago. You may think I have common sense, I would not do that. Brothers and sisters without the Holy Ghost, we have no common sense. We are animals. Without the controlling spirit of God, we would do worse. We are gentiles. The woman that was tender and delicate and wouldn't walk on the ground as she would dirty her feet would go and do such a thing. All the sense of pride and dignity is gone from humanity when the Holy Ghost is gone. When I read this, I thanked God for my food. I thanked God for decency in business transactions because the time is at hand when it will be no longer. The Roman leaders endeavoured to strike terror to the Jews and thus cause them to surrender. Those prisoners who resisted when taken were scourged, tortured, and crucified before the wall of the city. Hundreds were daily put to death in this manner, and the dreadful work continued until, along the Valley of Jehoshaphat and at Calvary, crosses were erected in so great numbers that there was scarcely room to move among them. So terribly was visited that awful imprecation uttered before the judgment seat of Pilate: His blood be on us, and on our children. Matthew 27:25. {GC 32.2}
The place where they crucified Jesus was like a forest, full of crosses of dead Jews. Titus would willingly have put an end to the fearful scene, and thus have spared Jerusalem the full measure of her doom. He was filled with horror as he saw the bodies of the dead lying in heaps in the valleys. Like one entranced, he looked from the crest of Olivet upon the magnificent temple and gave command that not one stone of it be touched. Before attempting to gain possession of this stronghold, he made an earnest appeal to the Jewish leaders not to force him to defile the sacred place with blood. If they would come forth and fight in any other place, no Roman should violate the sanctity of the temple. Josephus himself, in a most eloquent appeal, entreated them to surrender, to save themselves, their city, and their place of worship. But his words were answered with bitter curses. Darts were hurled at him, their last human mediator, as he stood pleading with them. The Jews had rejected the entreaties of the Son of God, and now expostulation and entreaty only made them more determined to resist to the last. In vain were the efforts of Titus to save the temple; One greater than he had declared that not one stone was to be left upon another. {GC 32.3} Titus was compassionate. He didn't want the Jews to be killed like that, he wanted them to surrender. But they said no, we are Gods people, he will deliver us. In their fury the soldiers hurled blazing brands into the chambers adjoining the temple, and then with their swords they slaughtered in great numbers those who had found shelter there. Blood flowed down the temple steps like water. Thousands upon thousands of Jews perished. Above the sound of battle, voices were heard shouting: Ichabod!--the glory is departed. {GC 33.1} When did the Jews realise the glory was departing? When blood was flowing out of the sanctuary like a river. You may recall a people in the Old Testament saying the summer is past, the harvest is ended and we are not saved. When will the blindness be lifted off to see that probation is closed? In the time of trouble.
Too Late
Are you taking advantage of the light that is risen in the Spirit of Prophecy? The light that streams from 1888 in the proclamation of the nature of Christ? Do we take advantage to become stable Christians? If we reject these warnings, the warnings that we will get will be too late. When they saw their loved ones, their family and friends all slain and the blood rushing then they saw that the glory is departed and it was too late. Titus found it impossible to check the rage of the soldiery; he entered with his officers, and surveyed the interior of the sacred edifice. The splendour filled them with wonder; and as the flames had not yet penetrated to the holy place, he made a last effort to save it, and springing forth, again exhorted the soldiers to stay the progress of the conflagration. The centurion Liberalis endeavored to force obedience with his staff of office; but even respect for the
emperor gave way to the furious animosity against the Jews, to the fierce excitement of battle, and to the insatiable hope of plunder. The soldiers saw everything around them radiant with gold, which shone dazzlingly in the wild light of the flames; they supposed that incalculable treasures were laid up in the sanctuary. A soldier, unperceived, thrust a lighted torch between the hinges of the door: the whole building was in flames in an instant. The blinding smoke and fire forced the officers to retreat, and the noble edifice was left to its fate. {GC 33.2} It was an appalling spectacle to the Roman--what was it to the Jew? The whole summit of the hill which commanded the city, blazed like a volcano. One after another the buildings fell in, with a tremendous crash, and were swallowed up in the fiery abyss. The roofs of cedar were like sheets of flame; the gilded pinnacles shone like spikes of red light; the gate towers sent up tall columns of flame and smoke. The neighboring hills were lighted up; and dark groups of people were seen watching in horrible anxiety the progress of the destruction: the walls and heights of the upper city were crowded with faces, some pale with the agony of despair, others scowling unavailing vengeance. The shouts of the Roman soldiery as they ran to and fro, and the howlings of the insurgents who were perishing in the flames, mingled with the roaring of the conflagration and the thundering sound of falling timbers. The echoes of the mountains replied or brought back the shrieks of the people on the heights; all along the walls resounded screams and wailings; men who were expiring with famine rallied their remaining strength to utter a cry of anguish and desolation. {GC 34.1} The slaughter within was even more dreadful than the spectacle from without. Men and women, old and young, insurgents and priests, those who fought and those who entreated mercy, were hewn down in indiscriminate carnage. The number of the slain exceeded that of the slayers. The legionaries had to clamber over heaps of dead to carry on the work of extermination.--Milman, The History of the Jews, book 16. {GC 35.1} If you can imagine this destruction, if you can imagine, because whatever you can imagine is not even a faint glimmer of what will happen to the gentiles that have not received the light of Revelation 18. Jesus was looking upon this temple and he said; If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. Luke 19:42-44. {GC 17.1} They didn't know. In the Adventist realm we are always futurising everything, when the latter rain shall come is often said but it is already come. It is also
said when the world will be lit with the glory. It began and has been shining since 1888. Sr Whites books are like autumn leaves. You can go to second hand book shops all over the world and find them everywhere but its not comprehended. No one knows. The Majesty of heaven in tears! the Son of the infinite God troubled in spirit, bowed down with anguish! The scene filled all heaven with wonder. That scene reveals to us the exceeding sinfulness of sin; it shows how hard a task it is, even for Infinite Power, to save the guilty from the consequences of transgressing the law of God. Jesus, looking down to the last generation, saw the world involved in a deception similar to that which caused the destruction of Jerusalem. {GC 22.2} Jesus saw us in the last generation. What did he see? He sees the same. Weve had greater light plus their light which we can look on but we still don't know. Probation is closing, are you ready? Jesus, looking down to the last generation, saw the world involved in a deception similar to that which caused the destruction of Jerusalem. The great sin of the Jews was their rejection of Christ; the great sin of the Christian world would be their rejection of the law of God, the foundation of His government in heaven and earth. The precepts of Jehovah would be despised and set at nought. Millions in bondage to sin, slaves of Satan, doomed to suffer the second death, would refuse to listen to the words of truth in their day of visitation. Terrible blindness! Strange infatuation! {GC 22.2} We can think that we are commandment keeping people but the Spirit of Prophecy says that the Jews transgressed every commandment of God. They kept the Sabbath didn't they? The Jews professed to keep the law whilst transgressing every precept. Do you and I break the Sabbath day? Do we covet what our neighbor has? Do we have other gods before God? Do we study ease and the most comfortable way for us? Every ray of light rejected, every warning despised or unheeded, every passion indulged, every transgression of the law of God, is a seed sown which yields its unfailing harvest. {GC 36.1} God gives us beautiful thoughts of His will. If we don't act on those beautiful thoughts, they will be the biggest curse of our life. If we have a lovely thought of Gods will and we don't do it, it will cause a greater punishment. The Spirit of God, persistently resisted, is at last withdrawn from the sinner, and then there is left no power to control the evil passions of the soul, and no protection from the malice and enmity of Satan. {GC 36.1} We dont even know the extent that God is protecting us. If we let God go, there is no power to control us. No protection and the malice of Satan. Think of the most awful, satanic thing that has every happened, if you let go of God, you will do it.
The destruction of Jerusalem is a fearful and solemn warning to all who are trifling with the offers of divine grace and resisting the pleadings of divine mercy. Never was there given a more decisive testimony to God's hatred of sin and to the certain punishment that will fall upon the guilty. {GC 36.1} The Saviour's prophecy concerning the visitation of judgments upon Jerusalem is to have another fulfilment, of which that terrible desolation was but a faint shadow. In the fate of the chosen city we may behold the doom of a world that has rejected God's mercy and trampled upon His law. Dark are the records of human misery that earth has witnessed during its long centuries of crime. The heart sickens, and the mind grows faint in contemplation. Terrible have been the results of rejecting the authority of Heaven. But a scene yet darker is presented in the revelations of the future. The records of the past,-the long procession of tumults, conflicts, and revolutions, the battle of the warrior . . . with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood (Isaiah 9:5),-what are these, in contrast with the terrors of that day when the restraining Spirit of God shall be wholly withdrawn from the wicked, no longer to hold in check the outburst of human passion and satanic wrath! The world will then behold, as never before, the results of Satan's rule. {GC 36.2} Study Romans 11. It says don't be high minded. If God can cut off the natural branch and graft in a branch how much easier can he. To claim to be the church of God yet to be worldly is the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and double fold because we know by their example of what it is and we still do it. When Christ came to the world, his own nation rejected him. He brought from heaven the message of salvation, hope, freedom, and peace; but men would not accept his good tidings. Christians have condemned the Jewish nation for rejecting the Saviour; but many who profess to be followers of Christ are doing even worse than did the Jews, for they are rejecting greater light in despising the truth for this time. {RH, November 5, 1889 par. 5} We are living in the last days, and the generation that is to witness the final destruction has not been left without warning of the hastening judgments of God. Says the apostle, I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. {RH, November 5, 1889 par. 7} Who is Babylon? Weren't they Gods church? Aren't they the Catholic faith? But more, they are the world, the Christian world. Babylon claimed to be Christs representatives. It has fallen and become a place of devils. And I heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. {RH, November 5, 1889 par. 7}
The time is full. Who killed more prophets? The Jews or Christians? Those that believe in Christ or those that were Jews? The gentiles. We did. The gentiles killed more. Through the warning that God has sent to the world, an opportunity is given to all to escape the general ruin that is threatened to fallen Babylon. The whole earth is to be lightened with the glory of this message, and hearts and minds will be prepared by its reception, for the coming of the King of kings. {RH, November 5, 1889 par. 8} But this gracious message will be as generally rejected by the professed Christian world, as was the message of the Messiah by the Jewish nation. Only a few will receive the testimony of truth, for every influence that Satan can bring to bear against the reception of the truth of God will be employed. In these last days the agency of the evil one will be hidden under a cloak of godliness, so that if it were possible even the very elect would be deceived. {RH, November 5, 1889 par. 9} I have been shown that the spirit of the world is fast leavening the church. You are following the same path as did ancient Israel. There is the same falling away from your holy calling as God's peculiar people. {PH117 58.1} She's writing to the Advent faith. When the seventh trumpet starts to sound the mystery should be finished. Probation is closing, are you ready? In a message I normally conclude with some encouragement but as I sat in my office nothing came. No encouragement in the way of positive approach, nothing. I felt this is a cut end sermon but so is probation, it also is cut end. There is no smoothing over with gloss. There is no comfort for you to all go back to sleep. Probation is closing. Obey what you know and pray for more light. Seek ye the Lord while he may be found. Call ye upon him while he is near. Let the evil man forsake his ways, and the righteous man his thoughts. Forget your thoughts, forget your ways, probation is closing are you ready? Amen.
