Double Death

This evening at approximately 10.00pm Mr. Jay Gatsby,was shot by George Wilson while swimming in his pool at his stately home.George Wilson then proceeded to shoot himself in the head. The last person to see Jay Gatsby;Nick Carraway found Gatsbys body floating lifeless in the pool and called the police,though he did not see Wilsons body until later.The police arrived shortly afterwards to examine the scene and interrogate the staff and friends. When asked about the murder the chauffeur told us that he heard the bangs but didnt think much of them at the time,so he went on with his work.The butler has also said that Gatsby went out to the pool at approximately 9.30pm and was told to bring any calls to him. Tom Buchanan,Gatsbys neighbour,told us that George Wilson had gone to see him and asked him about Myrtles death at 8.25pm but didnt think it unusual. Detectives have collected evidence and information and think the reason for George Wilsons suicide was depression after the recent loss of his wife Myrtle.Michaelis spoke to the police about Wilson who had visited him earlier that day.Michaelis claims that Wilson was obviously distraught over his wifes death and revealed he knew that she was having an affair and suspects her lover had something to do with her murder.Michaelis also claims that Wilson was saying strange things about God and his wife. The reason for Gatsbys death is uncertain but is suspected to be because Wilson thought Gatsby was responsible for his wifes death. There is an ongoing police investigation but as of know no more information is known by the press.
