All of our parties have been a wonderful success. We have eaten good, danced to great music ,and most of all made wonderful and lasting memories. I would like to thank all of our sponsors for each party and all of the contributions made from all members. Each party was one of a kind from the food to the fellowship! I want to especially thank all of the board members who have served this year, who include: Grayson Goins, Susie Holshouser, Alyce Alexander, Sherri Dennis, Amanda Hall, Linda Manspile, Thelma Pike, Deetra Ragan, Jacky Walton and Susie Hawkins. Wanda Cozart also needs a special thank you for all she does with our half and half fundraising. The RE-UP party is scheduled for March 10. Please be sure to put this date on your calendars, The Magnificents are scheduled to appear so you dont want to miss it! The board is asking for everyone to complete and submit a new application for the 2012-2013 dance club year. The membership fee has increased to $20.00/per person. The board hated to increase the cost but felt it was in the clubs best interest. This is still a reasonable fee for all of the great times had at each party. Finally, I would like to say I have enjoyed being president of such an excellent club. I will not be on the board for the 2012-2013 year, but will ALWAYS be willing to help out in any way possible. A member of our club collects aluminum cans & tabs. When disposing of cans, please remove the tab & place the tab & can in their appropriate containers available at our parties. Thanks!

PLEASE, PLEASE remember to keep all alcohol covered at all times. This is a park rule!!! Due to various reasons and concerns, Please use the back deck as the designated smoking area instead of the front entrance. ******************************************* If you have someone in your family that we should recognize in our newsletter for accomplishments, special occasions, etc. or someone that you would like us to place on the prayer list, please let Nancy Absher know --nabsher1@aol.com ******************************************* Please remember that the clubhouse is cleaned up and vacuumed after our parties by our members. So, please be considerate and clean off your table and pick up things you may have dropped on the floor. THANKS!

Badin Shores Resort will hold their annual election for board members on Saturday, 3/10/12 and 3 of the 9 candidates are members of our Dance Club. Dave Cohen, Terra Ferguson, & Susie Holshousers letters of intent are attached. All other letters of intent can be found on the BSR website http://badinshores.org under newsletters (Feb 2012 Special Edition Election Newsletter). Make sure your voice is heard by voting for 1, 2, 3, or 4 candidates in the election or at least sign & submit the proxy (complete either the ballot or proxy, not both) and encourage your neighbors & friends to do the same! 25% or 267 votes must be cast for the election to be valid at this time. BSR has been very close to not obtaining that quorum in the past. Please be sure to note the ballots have to be mailed to the PO Box in the envelope that was included with your ballot and should be mailed by 3/1. No ballots will be accepted at the clubhouse, office, or by any person.

Our parties are hosted by members of the club. The members who have volunteered to host a party are listed below, along with dates. If you would like to assist in hosting a party for any month listed, please let us know.... If you are hosting a party, please remember to set-up & clean up...as well as haul off the trash. As trash cans get full, they need to be emptied & a new bag inserted. All trash is to be disposed of, as well as making sure the kitchen & whole clubhouse is clean. Be sure to sweep & mop the floors. You will have to call the guard to open the clubhouse for you & call them back to close it up. Be sure not to leave the clubhouse unsecured. All members, please remember our hosts would love your help. Team effort makes the job easy. The Dance Club BOD decided that $600 maximum will be the funds available to host a party (entertainment & food). Save your receipts and give them to Sherry Sauber for reimbursement. We generally pay for the entertainment & meat. Our members supply the appetizers, side dishes, & desserts. Granted, some of our parties cost us little to nothing as the hosts (and member support) contribute so much. We have many decorations that may apply to your theme, so be sure to check with us to see if we have what you need. Whenever you know the theme, let Nancy Absher know and she will insert into the calendar of events in the newsletter. Also, she will be contacting you before the newsletter is created to obtain the info for your party announcement. Please be sure to thank the ones who host our parties. Their hard work is very much appreciated as we enjoy the food and entertainment that they have organized and provided. Sherry Sauber will be your treasurer & Nancy Absher will be your secretary this year. Alyce Alexander & Susie Holshouser will assist them in the transition.

Your application for membership (3/2012-2/2013) is attached. Everyone will need to complete a new application this year. Please complete & mail ASAP or bring to the re-up party. It would be nice if we had all applications in the month of March so that your info will be included in the original print of directory. The directory will begin to be prepared right after the re-up party. If you are not going to be at the partyplease mail your application. We will have extra applications at the party. Spread the word, as new members are always welcome! Please make checks payable to Badin Shores Shaggers. That is the name on our checking account. *******************************
