    I am a detail-oriented, aspiring educator currently finishing my education. I have 30+ hours of in class experience and am always looking to spend more time in the classroom. Currently an English concentration, I would eventually like to become more educated in the literacy aspect of English education.

    Clubs & Organizations -Colleges Against Cancer - active member in organizing campus events to raise cancer awareness as well as money for cancer research (2010-2012) -Relay for Life Committee (Entertainment Committee) - working closely with other group members to help organize entertainment for Relay for Life on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus. Such entertainment includes: musical groups, dance groups, games, etc. (2010-2012) Observation -William Hackett Middle School (Albany, NY)- Observed 6th, 7th and 8th grade classrooms in an inner-city school. Helped to grade tests as well, interact with the students, meet faculty and judge a spelling bee. -NCCS (Champlain, NY)- Observed 7th grade History classroom as part of EDU 280. Helped students with group work, bell ringers and study methods. Also observed high school classes as well as non-core classes such as Gym, Music and Art. -CV-TEC (Plattsburgh, NY) - Observed students learning various trades such as cosmetology, veterinary skills and child care, outside of the traditional classroom. -PAI (Plattsburgh, NY)- Observed students learning the trade of fixing aircrafts such as planes as well as other motorized vehicles.
