REPORT ON TELL ME MORE Positive aspects: It has a wide variety of exercises that cover all the skills.

lls. The program allows interaction in the form of questions and answers. Students respond in oral and written forms. Students can customize their learning focusing on the specific areas they want to work on. It has a feature that allows students to create a learning schedule, specifying the starting date, the number of hours they want to practice each day, the areas they want to work each day and a finishing date. The dialogs and videos are appealing and sometimes funny, it makes it interesting to work with. It has pronunciation exercises where students can record their practices and they receive immediate feedback on their performance. The program keeps track on the percentage of exercises that students have completed in each area and how many correct answers they have got. Negative aspects It doesnt allow interaction among students. The vocabulary presentation sections are overwhelming and they dont have a real context. The lists of vocabulary are very long and in the presentations dont have controlled practices. The exercises are divided but not scaffolded. They dont follow a sequence that could improve students learning. The entire program always has the same structure of exercises; they usually begin with production exercises without having introduced the topic. The learning schedule feature does not have any guidelines on what a good learning schedule can be or best practices; students could come up with non accurate learning habits or non realistic expectations towards the program. All the units have a specific topic. But its development is not always evident, and as students select the exercises they want to practice, they can jump from one topic to the other without noticing or seeing a real improvement on their level.

The design of the platform is flat. In the long run, exercises can become repetitive.

As a conclusion, I consider the Tell Me More a very good tool to complement a students English learning process. However, I wouldnt recommend it as an English learning program thats supposed to stand on its own.
