Mr. Martijn lunneker Project Manager PCl Constructors Westcoast Inc. Suite 310 13911 Wireless Way Richmond, BC V6V 3B9 Re: Subj: BC Place - Phase 2 - Roof Replacem ent Cable Grease

Dear Martijn, We received the information for the cable grease transmitted in your email of 11-23-10 as well as the test results from NTB in your 1-17-11 email and forwarded all data to Saint Gobain. Both Saint Gobain and ourselves reviewed the information and have concluded the following to date
s17, s13

We applied some grease to both the SF I and Fabrasorb fabrics and have concluded that the grease will most likely permanently stain the both the outer and I iner fabrics. o o o Photo 1 is ofthe samples with the grease applied for a period of 5 days, note you can see the grease stain wicking into the porous Fabrasorb fabric. Photos 2 and 3 are of the fabr ic after it was cleaned with water. Photo 4 is of the unbleached SF I fabric after it was cleaned with the recommended cleaning soap (Murphy's Oil Soap). The dark stain indicates the fabric is permanently stained. We are bleaching the fabric under UV exposure to get a better sense of the darkening resultant of the staining.
