3. Installing VirtualBox 2.0.0 On Ubuntu 8.04 Desktop

This tutorial shows how you can install  Sun xVM VirtualBox  on an Ubuntu 8.04 desktop. With 

VirtualBox you can create and run guest operating systems ("virtual machines") such as Linux and 
Windows under a host operating system.

4. Turn your machine into enterprise storage with Openfiler

Openfiler  is   a   Open   Source   Storage   Management   System   for   Enterprises.   Normally   all   the   big

5.  Financial Crisis Offers Opportunity for Linux, Open Source

Jim Zemlin, executive director of the Linux Foundation, says technologies such as Linux and open­
source software can help enterprises cut costs during tough economic times. Zemlin says users should 
look to open source and Linux, systems management tools, and virtualization technology to keep 
budgets in line.

6. Shaastra at IIT Madras 1­5 Oct 2008 

Shaastra, Annual technical festival of IIT­Madras, is starting from Wed Oct 1st 2008 and ending on 
Sun Oct 5th. Lot of technical events, talks and video conference are organized as the part this festival.

7. A Freedom Walk from Kasargode to Trivandrum to spread Software Freedom

Anoop John  and the volunteer team (www.zyxare.com) planned to go for a  Freedom Walk  from 

Kasargode to Trivandrum, at Kerala, organize seminars and talks on these freedoms at educational 
institutions and non profit organizations. The walk will start from Kasargod on Oct 2 and will end at 
Trivandrum in around 45 days time. It is around 600 km they are covering by walk.
