Honey Creek Clean-up

NiNth ANNuAl

Saturday, April 16 9:00 a.m. - Noon

Each April during Earth Day celebrations, volunteers donate a few hours to clean-up and preserve Honey Creek while learning the importance of watershed health and stewardship. The clean-up promotes community service and builds community pride, and it is a great opportunity for children to be involved with the environment. This is a great event for Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops to earn community service hours. As part of Keep America Beautifuls Great American Clean-up, our countrys largest annual community improvement program, local groups focus clean-up efforts in southeastern Wisconsin. These groups include Milwaukee Riverkeeper, Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful, and CH2M HILL. Last year, more than 3,700 volunteers removed 20 tons of garbage in the southeastern Wisconsin area clean-up.
