Summer Internship Program

Instruction Sheet
1. Summer Internship Program is an integral part of PGPM/PGPIB/PGPM-IF curriculum and shall be evaluated with due credit. 2. Summer interns are required to complete their project under the guidance of a faculty supervisor and firm/organization/company representative. 3. Duration: Minimum 8 weeks and maximum 10 weeks 4. SIP reports are evaluated and graded (full credit). 5. The Project must be presented in the form of a written report as well as CD format. 6. Students have to submit the project report to the Registrars Office on or before 11th July 2011. 7. Students have to give a formal presentation on the report as on the scheduled date & time starting from 14th July 2011. 8. GBS expects that during internship, students will maintain the discipline, decorum and other related ethical issues in highest order. Any form of violation of rules & regulations related to Summer Internship may lead to cancellation of admission. 9. Report Writing: The general structure of a project report should consist of 3 main divisions: A. Preliminary Section B. Main Section C. Reference Section A. The Preliminary Section should consist of the following : i. Title Page ii. Acknowledgement iii. Approval of the guide/supervisor iv. Declaration of the intern v. Table of contents vi. List of tables vii. List of figures B. The Main Section of the Report should consist of the following : i. Introduction ii. Review iii. Design iv. Presentation & Analysis of data v. Summary & Conclusions C. Reference Section : i. Bibliography ii. Appendix iii. Index (Suggested References :Kothari C R, Research Methodology) 10. MS Word and MS Excel should be used for composing the project report. Margin 2.5 cm. Or 1 inch; Font - Times New Roman; Size-12pt ; Spacing - 1 line.
