Quality FUNCTION DEPLOYMENT (QFD)

QFD (Quality Function Deployment) is a quality management technique that helps to incorporate the voice of the customer. This voice is then translated into technical requirements. Customer satisfaction has been given prime importance. QFD emphasizes an understanding of what is valuable to the customer and then deploys these values throughout the software engineering process. The QFD method has the following steps: All the stakeholders (customers, users and developers) are identified. The requirements from the customers are listed. A value indicating a degree of importance is assigned to each requirement.

The QFD method has identified three kinds of requirements of the client: normal, expected and exciting requirements.

Normal Requirements

Accuracy An accurate biometric technology will used to keep the record of the guards for finger-prints, face recognition images, and retina images in a way that they are safe from unauthorized alterations.

Reliable The casino security system will be dependable in terms of quality and speed.

Easy to Install and maintain It will be easy to install the security system in the casino without making many changes to the constructional part of the casino. It will be userfriendly for the maintenance purpose.

Expected Requirements Graphical Displays (TOUCH Interface) The technology which will be used will be having a Touch man-machine interface. The guard can just interact with the security system with a touch. Voice Commands The guard will be guided by voice commands guiding him/her to the next step.

Secure Device The technology/device which will be used will be secure. It will be, Unbreakable Protected against virus

Guard has no control over the system, so he can not damage the system.

Exciting Requirements Highly Secure Device This device will not be affected by any magnetic field, electric field, moisture. Complete Control for the Central Administrator (Password Feature) It will be the central administrator who will have the complete control over the device. He will be given a super-user password to control all the activities. Manual alarm system The central administrator will be given a facility of manual alarm system in case if he/she feels like something unsafe is going to happen and that will lock volt and all the doors.
