Guru Pooja Diwas

On the blessed occasion of Satguru Baba Hardev Singhji Maharaj's birthday, the Seattle Sangat was blessed with an opportunity to participate in a cleanliness campaign at Lewis Creek State park on Saturday, February 25, 2012. 15 local saints volunteered in this cleaning activity conducted by City of Bellevue Parks and Community Services. This cleaning activity was focused on removing blackberry (Himalayan species) bushes from the park. We were provided all the required tools and equipment from the program organizers. With the blessings of the Almighty, we were able to perform this task well and contribute to saving plant life in the area on this auspicious event.

In words of His Holiness, tree plantation is not a one-day event but an on-going process, and the entire Seattle Sangat seeks blessings that they are graced with many more such opportunities in the future so that we can walk on the path as directed by His Holiness. The celebrations continued in the form of the Sewa Dal rally on Sunday, February 26, 2012 followed by the weekly congregation. Saints expressed their greetings and wishes for His Holiness in the form of poems in 'Kavi Darbar', along with singing devotional songs and celebratory speeches.

Seattle Sangat prayed for health and well-being of His Holiness and also sought His blessings to be able to walk on the path of humanity and spirituality as per will of the Satguru.
