OBJECTIVE OF PROGRAM
This program has been designed for students with the technical orientation and has deep interest in developing information technology in the industry. It is the integration of computing, system, human resources and focusing on the multimedia information technology. This program also prepared the student not only for their career in multimedia information technology but it also let them to further their studies to the degree program after they completed their diploma.

Open to all students with one of the requirements below: Passed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPMV) with at least 3 credits and passed in Mathematics Other equivalent certificates from other institutions Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia(SPM)/ Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional(SPMV) or equivalent with at least three(3) credit, inclusive of Mathematic; or; Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with at least one (1) principal in any subjects AND credit in Mathematic at SPM level; or ; Recognized/approved Computing Certificate or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or; Recognized related Technical /Vocational Certificate a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or equivalent with one year working experienced in the related field or attending one semester Bridging programme.

INTRODUCTION
This program is specially designed for technical-oriented students that have deep interests and high tendencies to develop computerized systems for industrial needs. The field of industrial computing solely not focuses on computer science elements alone. In fact, the field is also supported by knowledge and skills in areas of operations research and industrial engineering. To name a few, more specific subfields industrial computing are such as operations management, statistical analysis, numerical analysis, robot programming, programmable logic controller (PLC) programming, robot modeling and simulation, machining simulation, product design, system analysis, system development, forecasting, scheduling, inventory control and material requirement planning (MRP), quality control (QC), reliability and maintenance et cetera.

Credits exemption are given to students who has taken subjects from other institution with recognised certificate. Students who graduate from this program and continue study at Unisel for a degree program are given total 30 credits exemption based on the program chosen and the grade of the subject.
