Daniels Keys To Stress Reduction

Date: Mar. 18, 2012

Series: Overcoming Stress

I.

STRUCTURED TIME WITH GOD

Daniel 6:10 (NKJV) Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days. Phil. 4:6 (MSG) Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.

II.

REFUSAL TO COMPROMISE
Daniel 1:8 (NKJV) But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Compromise does not ease tension, it only weakens resolve! - Andy Stanley The cost of compromise is too high for low living. Tony Evans

III. WALK IN YOUR CALLING

2 Tim. 1:8-9 (NKJ) Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, 9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, 1 Thess. 5:24 (NASB)

Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

2 Peter 1:10 (NASB)

Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing

you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;
