Without Education, we are a lost generation... We have an obligation and a responsibility to be investing in our students and our schools.

The future of Mvita and Mombasa County lies with our children and their development depends on the standard of education in our institutions. The education experience is about establishing a culture of learning, developing the individuals confidence and tapping their potential.

As the MP for Mvita Constituency, I get great encouragement from educational strides by my constituents and would like to instil a culture of appreciating when a job is well done and consulting when the roles are reversed. It is in this regard that I constituted the Mvita Education Board (MEB) whose mandate includes overseeing all aspects of education in the community, with emphasis on formulation of education policy based on quality and performance. The Board will engage all stakeholders in the education sector; including the Ministry of Education, Institutions and Community with the common aim of uplifting Mvitas education standard. My wish is to harmonise and reduce the divide between public and private schools, making resources accessible to public institutions within the Mombasa County. This will create a uniform and healthy competitive spirit among students and result in positively uplifting educational standards. Lastly, I would like to congratulate the students who excelled in their exams and would like to wish them a brighter future based on a culture of hardwork and discipline. For the school administrations I would also like to assure them of my unequivocal support.
