Problem description: fatal error code 18H/19H/24H/1AH/1BH. Solution: Check the operation of the fusing safety switch. It can happen that the arm does not activate the fuser safety switch completely, if this happened the fuser lamps are not connected to the power resulting in a fatal error 18H/19H/24H/1AH/1BH

Fusing safety switch Arm Check if the switch is working correctly and that the arm pushes the switch correctly until the contacts are made.

If the arm is not working correctly, the arm hinge could be faulty causing the arm to be lose inside the printer

Check the proper working of the arm, make sure it is not very loose on the hinge, check if the 2 locking pins are not broken off.

For this problem we have a modification part available To secure the arm to the frame please install the modification as shown below.

In some cases the modification does not fit as then only the outside if the hinge is broken; in that case please remove the convex with a pair of players and then install the modification.

After the modification has been done please check that the arm can turn free, that the arm guide is working properly and that the fuser safety switch is activated.
