Research Essay Assign research essay, preliminary planning. FOR NEXT TUESDAY Reading: Continue to read ahead in Wise Blood it might be a good idea to try to finish the book this weekend, to better prepare you to work on your essay. Writing: Continue to brainstorm for your Research Essay. On Tuesday, students should bring to class the following: 1) Two or three possible themes they might explore in research 2) Corresponding current event for each of those themes You will bring these to class to help you as you begin to do library research. You neednt lock down on any of these topics just yet, but keep in mind that the earlier you find a topic to work with, the more time youll be able to devote to making your essay the best it can be. Class Meeting Change Next Tuesday, our class will meet at 9:40 sharp (!) in the Library for a research orientation. Students who miss this miss out some very useful and important instruction which wont be repeated otherwise in class. If you miss this class period, you miss out on the opportunity to learn how to do the kind of research you need for your final essay.
