Jeopardy!

Game Mechanics (Level 2)

1.

There are two rounds in this competitionthe Jeopardy! and Double Jeopardy! Rounds.

2. Four (Three) categories are revealed on the interactive game board. Each category contains 5 trivia clues (phrased in answer form), each one with corresponding score value. 3. In the Jeopardy! Round, the game master begins the game by selecting a category and a score value (e.g. Science for 10 pts.). 4. The game master then reads the question, after which any of the contestants may raise the teams flag (press the buzzer). The first contestant to raise the flag gets the chance to answer. Ex. Question: It is the green pigment in plants. Answer: What is chlorophyll? 5. If the team provides the correct answer, theyll be awarded the score value of that question and will earn the right to select the next category. 6. If they respond incorrectly, the other teams can steal. 7. After the players finish the Jeopardy! round, theyll enter the Double Jeopardy round where all score values are doubled. 8. If they respond incorrectly in this round, the score value will be subtracted from that teams total score and the others can steal. 9. The team with the highest accumulated score at the end of two rounds wins the game.
