We can adjust the parameters a and c to vary the width and center of the bell. Use parameter b to control the slopes at the crossover points

S Membership Function
Has two parameters a and b The membership value is 0 for points below a, 1 for points above b And 0.5 for midpoint between a and b.

Defined by 2 parameters a and b Has membership value 1 at point a, 0.5 at points a-b and a+b The pi function value decreases towards zero assymtotically as it moves away from point a.
