There is far too much at stake for a few temporary jobs. The amount of acreage to be affected far outweighs the amount of energy which will be produced. The public has been unduly influenced by a mass mailing, green washing the real issues at hand. The project is not in the publics best interest and should be looked at by every editorial board in the State of Florida. West Pasco Audubon Society joins Audubon of South Florida and Audubon Society Everglades in opposing the Sugarland Wind Project. We hope that the Palm Beach Board of County Commissioners will put a 6 -12 month moratorium on the project or until USFWS places mandatory wind guidelines into effect.
