Customer requirements

The following are the customer requirements for the design of the recumbent bike which will be manufactured using available composite material (carbon fibre) The design should be smooth and ergonomic. The new design should good looking and profile of the bike frame should be a quadrilateral The dimensions for the bike are constrained. That is there will be no changes in the basic dimensions for the frame. Front dropout should be 40mm in diameter and the rear is 10mm The front axle shaft should be 60mm wide The chain stay should diverge from the frame towards the rear wheel The chain stays should be 135mm apart with each other. This is decided by the customer and the reason is to provide enough space to accommodate rear wheel, cogset, cassette etc.. The minimum gap between the chain stays is 30mm at the point where the chain stays start diverging from the frame Rear tire radius is 345mm. so it was said that the distance between the rear axle shaft to the end of the frame should be minimum of 350mm The vertical distance from ground to the front axle should be 635mm (25) Chain stays shouldnt be curved and angled with the horizontal

Based on the above requirements the frame will be constructed on CAD software.
