IN-CLASS WORK
Discussion: Research and Plagiarism Together in class we will discuss the research process and why its important to complete as instructed by the librarian

FOR NEXT TUESDAY

Writing Next Tuesday, students will complete and submit their Annotated Bibliographies, compiling and explaining the research that theyve done so far. An annotated bibliography consists of MLA-style Works Cited page entries which are followed by summary and explanation of each of the sources. An annotated bibliography allows you to see all of your resources in one place, giving students a head start on their writing. For this assignment, each of the five entries in this bibliography should include the following: 1) An MLA-style Works Cited page entry 2) About 100 150 words which a) Tell the main point the source makes, b) assess its validity and reliability, and c) tell how you intend to use this source to develop a point in your essay. See the attached sample for an idea of how this assignment should look (your individual research, of course, is on a different prompt). Reading Wise Blood Ch. 11 12 Allie McAughey
