The death penalty has been used for centuries for a wide variety of offenses.

Ted Bundy was one of many who had been sentenced to the death penalty. He was a brutal serial killer murdered over 30 middle class white women from ages 15 to 25. He killed woman that looked similar to his fiance Stephanie Brooks and had the same hair style. His victims were brutally beaten, raped, and strangled and he collected the heads from his victims as souvenirs. He was put on trial and convicted. He was sentenced to the death penalty and was executed by an electric chair by Florida in 1989 (15 Most ). Ted Bundys death put many young girls throughout states at ease and provided some closure for the young victims families. Criminals like Ted Bundy, deserve the worst punishment possible and this is where the death penalty can come into place.
