Theatre Review: All My Sons

Marzena Bukowska, who played the matriarch of the Keller family, Kate Keller, had an energy brighter than the stage lights. Bukowska, a third-year M.F.A. performance student, captivated the audience each time she took the stage, whether or not she was a focal point. Her minute nuances and high-pitched voice separated her from the rest of the ensemble; from the simplest shoulder shrug while prepping green beans to her entire body shaking at the tip of the slanted stage, looking past the audience deep in thought as if she were about to slide off. Her accent was a welcome surprise in the homogenous ensemble. Bukowska shined solo or while interacting with others, bringing out a developed sense of chemistry clearly present at the eighth performance.
