Simple V shawl

One of my favourite yarns is Barka Vattacukor, so I designed my new shawl from this gorgeous yarn. This simple V form was inpired by the gentle fiber and by the modesty of stockinette stich garment. The knitting of this shawl is really easy, if you know the basics of knitting, you can successfully perform this project. The only thing needs some routine is the knitting of mohair, because it is very hard to correct, so if you are not experienced, you should practice the increasing in the middle of the shawl with a handy yarn. You need: - 3 balls of Barka Vattacukor Smaragd (75 % super kid mohair, 25% silk, 25 g, 212 m / ball) - knitting needle: 5,5 mm (US 9)

Weight: 75 g Size: 2 x 105 cm long, the middleline is 45 cm, its width is 35 cm.

Now we can start knitting: Work with stockinette knitting (knit in right side, purl in wrong side). Cast on 301 sts. Row 1: Knit 150 sts, yo, K1, yo, K149, slip last st. Turn your work. Row 2: Purl to last st, slip last st. Turn your work. Row 3: Knit to middle st, yo, K1, yo, knit to last st, slip last st.Turn your work. Row 4 (and all even-number rows): same as row 2. Row 5 (and all odd-number rows): same as row 3.

Make 84 rows. Bind off. Cut and fasten the yarn and hide in the edge. Start the new ball of yarn on the edge of the shawl, so the join can be invisible. I didnt block the shawl, if you prefer block your shawl, do it lightly.

Have a happy knitting! Anns
