    ) After each Education period of 7 or 8 weeks there are 2 co-called White Weeks. The filling in of these two weeks is different for the various faculties. *) The Netherlands have the somewhat strange phenomenon, that some Christian public holidays are celebrated on two consecutive days. So we have 1st and 2nd Christmas days, Easter days and Whit Sunday and Monday. Rumour has it, that this was 'invented' to give the working classes an extra day off, as the official holiday was on a Sunday, when they were free anyway.
