ADMISSIONS Ph.D. PROGRAMS ENTRY 2012


The University invites applications for admission in full time Ph.D. programs as per admission criteria given by Higher Education Commission (HEC) on its website http://www.hec.gov.pk. The detail of disciplines is available on the University website http://admission.uet.edu.pk.

The application for admission shall be filled online, available from 24-03-2012, by logging on to http://admission.uet.edu.pk. The printout of the filled application form with the paid bank challan (printed with the application) and required documents shall be submitted to the respective department on or before 07-04-2012 during working days (Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Monday to Thursday and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Incomplete applications will not be entertained. The GAT (Subject) Type Test, for the disciplines not included in NTS list, shall be held on 15-04-2012 in the Seminar Hall of Department of Chemical Engineering, at 10:00 a.m. The admit card for test in said disciplines will be issued by the respective department on receiving the admission application.

a) Master Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institute by securing at least 60% marks (under Annual or Term System) or CGPA of 3 on the scale of 4 (under Semester System) Test Score as detailed below: At least 60% score in STS GAT (Subject) Test is required to apply for admission in following disciplines: Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering Metallurgical & Materials Engineering Architecture Chemistry Mathematics Physics Islamic Studies UET Lahore will conduct GAT (Subject) type test in the following disciplines wherein at least 70% score is required to apply for admission: Chemical engineering City & Regional Planning Environmental Engineering Mechatronics Engineering Transportation Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Engineering Management Water Resources Management Water Resources Engineering Engineering Hydrology Mining Engineering Architectural Engineering
