Prop List

1) Briefcase - The briefcase will be needed on set as it an important feature in the narrative. This is because the visuals will show the handover of the case, from the female to the male protagonist. - The voiceover of the interrogation would also not make sense if the briefcase was omitted from the opening film sequence it joins the non-diegetic sound with the visual being shown on screen. - From start to finish, the briefcase will be in the vast majority of the shots in the sequence apart from early shots of the male protagonist before the pivotal point of the handover of the case itself.

2) Two mobile phones - These props will be needed when filming the important diegetic dialogue between the two main characters involved in the sequence. - The phones are used so that the viewer can understand the phone call being used as evidence in the interrogation voiceover. It will be the only point in the opening, where the womans voice is heard by the audience therefore the phone call is important in the portrayal of the female character to the viewer her voice connotes power and mystery.

3) Lipstick - In order to aid the character portrayal of the female in the sequence, red lipstick will be used by the character to give the viewer an idea of what she is like high maintenance, sophisticated and upper class. She is obviously a powerful woman, but why? - Therefore, the female character will contrast with the male protagonist, as the man being questioned is going to be shown in the sequence of shots as an ordinary, unsuspecting and quite odd character.

4) Camera for filming - We have decided to take Stephs camera to London with us to film, as we feel it produces sharper and better quality video than say a normal handheld video recorder. - The setting we put it on was manual film as if it was on the static option, the camera wouldnt be able to film.

5) Monopod (tripod) - In order to keep certain shots steady, especially the establishing shots in London, and the shots that we will speed up, we have decided to take the lightweight monopod along with us when filming to steady the camera. - Also in the shots that will be filmed indoors, for example the close-up shots of the two characters, we will need a steady hand when using the pan camera movement, and to avoid blurring the characters movements.
