Will Hutton

William Nicholas Hutton was born on 21st May 1950

He is an English writer, weekly columnist and former editor-in-chief for The Observer.

He is currently executive vice-chair of The Work Foundation (formerly the Industrial Society), having been Chief Executive from 2000 to 2008.

Philosophy
He is described as a great speaker, influential within Government and a thought leader on the challenges of work in the UK. He is seen as honest and fair and always capable of providing an objective and long-range eye on the issues. He sets out the context in which HR policy must be developed. He is really stretching the HR role and trying to create an innovative, strategic focus to the future nature of business and employment not seen before. His insights into innovation, skills and the economy as a whole challenge, delight and inspire with equal measure.
