Instructions for Selecting Elective Subjects 1. 2.

Electives will help students to equip themselves in Functional, Sectoral and Allied areas Electives will be offered in 4th and 5th Trimester depending on the availability of the faculty and number of subjects in a particular trimester. Electives will be offered in EIGHT subject groups No 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 General Management Marketing Finance International Business and Economics* Trading Strategy Information Technology & Quantitative Techniques and Operations * As IBE is an allied area, subjects in this are mostly in multiple groups 4. 5. 6. Students are allowed to opt for EIGHT electives Maximum FOUR subjects can be chosen from an area and Minimum TWO subjects are required to be chosen from any single group Subjects chosen if fall in multiple groups such as Marketing & IBE or Finance & IBE, etc., they will be considered for IBE only. If students apply for such subjects Minimum TWO subjects needed to be taken from any of the following combinations: Marketing & IBE, Finance & IBE, General Management & IBE or pure IBE area. Allotment will be done through an online selection process. Incomplete selection of subjects will not be considered by the system Minimum number of application (25) is required for final offering of an elective subject. Students must identify EIGHT preferences in the column "MAIN CHOICE", Besides this, they also need to give "EXTRA CHOICE" in the specified column. They need to give choice of TWO extra electives in each subject area they have chosen in the "MAIN CHOICE". EXTRA CHOICE will be considered 'ONLY IF' any subject applied in the "MAIN CHOICE" is not finally offered. Elective Subject Groups

Suppose a student wants to take 2 electives from a particular discipline, then he/she needs to give these two preferences in main preference window and another two extra preferences from the same elective group in the extra preference window. In the same way every student needs to give 2 extra preferences apart from his/her main preference in each elective subject group. 11. After the allotment of electives no changes will be allowed under any circumstances. 12. Last date for Elective Selection is 6th April 2012 13. Announcement of Final offering will be done on 20th April 2012
