GEOFF MULGAN
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF NESTA (NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY AND THE ARTS) Geoff Mulgan will be talking about whether governments can act longterm or are doomed to be victims of shortterm media and political cycles. To coincide with new editions in Arabic, Chinese and Russian of his book The Art of Public Strategy: mobilising power and knowledge for the common good, he'll be talking about what kinds of strategy are possible after the financial crisis, what will distinguish the most successful nations in the decade ahead, and what we the public should demand of our leaders. Geoff is an adviser to governments all over the world, a former head of policy for Prime Minister Tony Blair, and currently Chief Executive of the UK's National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts.
