Partnering for Excellence:

Innovations in Science + Technology + Engineering + Math (STEM) Education COLLABORATION GRANT OPPORTUNITY Thank you again for your participation in the day and a half of shared learning, collective storytelling, and networking at the American Museum of Natural History on March 20-21, 2012. To continue building this community of practitioners, Carnegie Corporation of New York is offering several small grants, with the dual purpose of collaboration and allowing you to move forward on ideas that came out of the March workshop. They will be awarded, on a competitive basis, in amounts ranging from $5,000 to $15,000. To apply for a collaboration grant, please complete the brief application below and email it to Sarah Johnson (sj@carnegie.org) by Friday, April 27th. After reviewing all applications, we will invite a subset of applicants to move to the next stage of the process and submit a more detailed application. What do you plan to accomplish? 2) If you are submitting this application in collaboration with other community members, list those organizations below and explain how you will work together. Please note that, for logistical ease, the total grant amount will be awarded directly to the submitting organization. 3) How will the work proposed help your organization(s) implement and/or improve upon your innovation(s), with a focus on enabling STEM professionals to work with students and teachers to significantly enhance their understanding of the field(s)? 4) How will the work proposed strengthen the emerging long-term/part-time community? 5) What outcomes do you expect for the project, both short-term and long-term? 6) Please explain how the budget will enable the goals of your project.
