PLANS FOR PARK IMPROVEMENTS ARE:

Three entrances 2.5 to 3 miles of perimeter trail will be constructed. The trail will be 8 feet wide and consist of dyed concrete intended for walking, jogging, hiking, biking, etc. The trail will follow existing service roads and paths, in order to minimize the number of trees requiring removal. The trail will be a minimum of 350 feet from park boundaries and adjacent neighborhoods property lines Concrete benches will be placed approximately every half mile along the perimeter trail to allow park users to rest Multi Use Trail is suitable for cross country running, hiking, and jogging for those not wishing to do so on concrete surfaces, and for mountain biking. This trail will be on the natural surface, with only minimal clearing necessary and will run through the park Appropriate way finding signage and identifying markers/maps will be installed in the park and at the entrances. Park signage will also be placed on Blanco Road and Wilderness Oak at appropriate locations A dog park is planned for the park Security fencing will be installed to secure SARA dam 5 (SARA requirement) Hours of Operation will be from dawn to dusk Design and construction plans will emphasize and assure easy access among the park, the Parman Library, the Mays Family YMCA and Wilderness Oak Elementary
