    Phelps-

    This is when the Westboro Baptist Church picketed the funeral of a soldier,

    Mathew Snyder, because of Americas tolerance for homosexuals on March 8 2006. Albert Snyder sued Fred Phelps, Rebekah Phelps-Davis and Shirley Phelps-Roper, for defamation, intrusion upon seclusion, publicity given to private life, intentional infliction of emotional distress and civil conspiracy. The Supreme Court ruled in Favor of Phelps and his daughters in an 8-1 decision that it was not against their first amendment right to protest at the funeral.
