di negara ini melebihi 37 juta unit. Ini bermakna secara purata setiap rakyat Malaysia yang berjumlah 28 juta orang, mempunyai sekurang-kurangnya satu telefon bimbit manakala sebahagiannya lagi memiliki lebih satu malah mencecah enam unit pada satu-satu masa. Data itu diperoleh berdasarkan Kajian Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (SKMM) yang mendapati pada 2010, sebanyak 33,250,177 telefon bimbit digunakan oleh rakyat di negara ini.
