By: Kadek Satria Adi Wijaya

As a teenager, a social community seems like a primary needs. Teenagers often know more about theirself by gather and interacting with others in the same age. This kind of interaction is good, but now it become infrequently anymore. Modern lifestyle stands over the traditional way. That is the use of social network. Social network allows us to talk to everyone in the planet easily from almost everywhere without pay anything. Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter are commonly used to interact. Surprisingly, the social networking isnt gives so much benefit as people thought. In fact, it gives problems instead of benefit. Using social network so much is not good for us because of several reasons. First, using social network would make somebody become a selfish person. It is possible if we never play outside because we are in chat with someone in Facebook. For sure, that limits our relationship with people around us. The latest survey from TIMES Magazine also states that one of four teenagers in the world become selfish because of social network sites or application. Second, using social network would be harmful for the language and grammar itself. The social network users are said to be a sloppy dictionary producer. They made thousands of abbreviations and symbols that not everybody can understand it. Such as word be4 as before, thx as thanks and many more. This has big effect on their writing ability because they would be lethargic to write down the long words. Then the grammar would be broken also. There are many reasons why we should avoid using social network too much. The truth is that we need to think about the consequences that can occur if we really addicted. Theres much better if we interact with other in real life, not virtual.
