EXHIBIT B-2 CARPENTRY

Wood blocking and nailer members shall be standard grade or No. 2 grade conforming to the National Grading Rule for Dimension Lumber established in conformance with Section 10 of U.S. Department of Commerce Product Standard PS 20 and as applied in individual grading rules of applicable grading agencies. Lumber shall bear the grademark, stamp, or other identifying marks indicating grades of material and rules or standard under which produced. Wood members used for rough carpentry shall be preservative-treated by pressure methods and so marked in accordance with the AWPB Standard LP-2 Stan. Wood members shall be kiln dried or air dried. Treated and untreated lumber 5 cm (2 in.) or less in thickness, 19 percent maximum. Treated and untreated lumber over 5 cm (2 in.) in thickness, 21 percent maximum.

Wood shelving shall be plywood, Standard Grade AA (interior), and shall be front-edge banded with hardwood. Shelving in the janitor closets shall be provided with a mop rack. Hooks shall be case metal with satin-brass-plated finish. Bolts and screws: Type, grade, class, and size best suited for the intended use, galvanized or corrosion resistant. Clip Angles: Zinc-coated steel or iron commercial clips designed for connecting wood members, sizes as best suited for the intended use. Expansion Shields: Type, and style best suited for the purpose. Nails and Staples: Size and type best suited for the purpose. In general, 8penny nails or larger shall be used for nailing through the 2.5-cm (1-in.) thick lumber and for toe nailing 5-cm (2-in.) thick lumber; 16-penny nails or larger shall be used for nailing through 5-cm (2-in.) thick lumber. Plywood: Compliance with ANSI A199.1. Lumber shall be delivered to the site in undamaged condition, stored in fullycovered, well-ventilated areas, and protected from extreme changes in temperature and humidity. Carefully lay out, cut, fit, and install rough carpentry items. spikes, screws, or bolts to ensure rigidity and permanence. Use sufficient nails, Blocking shall be provided as necessary and shall be firmly anchored.

Nailers and nailing strips shall be provided as necessary for the attachment of finish materials and for flush-with-deck mounting on roof decks. Shelving shall be supported on shelf cleats, accurately set to required levels.
