    long. This story is really interesting. The characters in the story are fictional characters where this could attract the attention of readers. There is a wide range of moral values that can be learned by the children. The short story encompasses short paragraphs and no illustration is present.

    Story-telling competition Students are given a authentic text of the short

    story. Next, students are then instructed to read and the students are given a week to prepare for the competition that would be held in the class In the competition, the teacher would act as the judge while the students would participate in the competition. A small reward is given to the students that perform well.

    Dictation Students are instructed to read and

    comprehend the short story given. The students would then undergo a dictation session where the teacher would read a part of the short story and the students would write it down. A small reward is prepared for the students.
