Recipe For Chole
Ingredients
1 cup(200gms) kabuli chana (white chick peas),very important.. soaked chole in water overnight 1 tea bag 1 tomato puree 2 Bigsized Onions ( 1 Onion Puree other chopped) 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) 12 mm (1/2") piece of ginger (adrak), grated 2 cloves of garlic (lehsun), grated 3 Bay Leaves 2 tsp chole masala 2 tsp chilli powder 2 tsp dried mango powder (amchur) 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi) 1 tbsp coriander (dhania) powder 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder 2 tbsp oil
salt as per taste
Step-1
Very important soak choles in water overnight.

Dip Tea Bags in the choles. Pressure cook Choles until 5 whistles or more until they are cooked and tender.
Step-3
Once cooked discard the tea bags. Make puree of Onion. Keep it aside. Also make Tomato Puree and keep aside.
Step-4
Take a big vessel Or wok add 3 tbsp Ghee. Once hot saute cumin seeds( jeera) along with bay leaves. Once they crackle. Add chopped Ginger-Garlic and saute. Now add chopped onion. Saute for a minute more.
Step-5
Put onion puree and saute for 3 mins Or Until golden brown in color.
Step-6
Add the chole masala, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin seed powder and saut for 3 mins more.

Its time to add cooked Choles. Combine all of them and mash some choles with the back of spoon.
Step-9
Add water as consistency required. Add Lime juice, amchur powder and salt as per taste.
Cook for 5 to 7 mins more. Switch off the gas. Garnish with few coriander leaves. Your Chole is ready. Serve hot with friedpuffy breads( Bhatures)!:))
