    DRI Law Student Diversity Scholarship Deadline: around May 1.

    Eligibility: Rising 2Ls and 3Ls (current 1Ls/2Ls at time of application) who are African-American, Hispanic, Asian, Pan-Asian, Native American, or female; must complete an essay on a topic selected by DRI. Law student members of the American Association for Justice are not eligible. Award: 2 awards of $10,000. Criteria: Academic excellence, service to the profession, community service, and service to the cause of diversity. Sponsor: DRI (a national organization of corporate counsel and civil defense trial lawyers).

    Fredrikson & Byron Foundation Minority Scholarship Deadline: around March 15. Eligibility: 1Ls who are Native American, Alaskan Native, Asian or Pacific Islander, African-American or Black, or Hispanic. Award: One award of $10,000 plus an invitation to become a summer associate the summer following 2L year. Criteria: Academic achievement, professional references, work & other activities, writing samples, personal interviews. Sponsor: Fredrikson & Byron, P.A.
