Conclusion It can be concluded that discrimination still exists but has reduced drastically as the respondents children did

not face any discrimination in contemporary times. But the respondents in their time had faced discrimination in school on the basis of caste and due to that the respondents discontinued his education. They now send their children to private school so that they do not face the same thing. In one instance, respondents children left the government school because they were discriminated by their teachers since they belonged to lower class (this was 4 years back). But now the situation has improved in government schools as observed. The quality of education has improved. Children are being provided with mid day meals. Free uniform, books, money is also provided to encourage their parents to send their children to schools. One striking instance was told by the respondent which is worth mentioning. When her elder son went to look for job then in a government firm X he was not offered a job and when asked for a reason, the hiring team said that they do not hire Muslims for jobs in this firm. This is an example of discrimination on the basis of religion. Discrimination in the workplace occurs when an employee finds unfair treatment because of their race, sexual origin, religion, national origin, physical and mental disabilities or many other characteristics.

So, it will not be incorrect to conclude that although discrimination has reduced but it still exists. Not only does discrimination exist in the workplace, but it exists outside the workplace and is very hard to get rid of. Traditional labels and other unfair generalizations learned from others, parental discrimination, fear and the general imperfection of the world are major reasons for discrimination.
